This specialty is brewed from local barley from the Schwabish Alps. The barley is first converted with a traditional method in brewing malt. Through this gentle method of brewing, we are able to extract the key flavor of the beer and fresh aroma from the malt. This is the unique components for a special Bock Beer.
Since alcohol is the main carrier taste of beer, the slightly higher alcohol reveals many nuances held in this special beer, which is discovered while drinking. The long cold storage contributes to the harmonization of the beer experience. And you can taste it! An explosion of smell, taste, and delight.
For a long time, it has been a tradition to brew a Märzen beer in the springtime. The Märzen beer was made at a time when refrigeration was not available. During that time, it was customary for lager beers to be brewed from September to March, since only during the cold winter was there the opportunity to cool the beer for fermentation. In March, the last brews were made to be stronger and have a higher alcohol content, so the beer could be preserved over the hot summers. After refrigeration machines were commercially developed by Carl von Linde for German breweries, it was no longer a problem to cool beer over the summer and lager beers could be made throughout the year. The resulting type of beer is a malty, aromatic, stronger beer with a gentle hop note. This why we have brewed a Märzen for Easter since 2009. A beer golden as the fresh spring sun and strong malt taste. Osterhäsle, the Schwäbish German dialect for Easter Bunny is ready for you to enjoy!
This amber beer is a combines light and dark Schwäbisch malts. It has a sweet aroma and brewed specially for cold winter evenings.

You simply can taste the significance of this beer. This beer is unfiltered and absolutely natural. The Brunnenbier is bottled directly from the storage tank. The ingredients that are normally removed during the filtration process are fully retained in the beer using old traditional brewing techniques. These ingredients gives the beer its exceptional roundness from the natural proteins extracted from the malt. From the first sip you notice how round and soft the Brunnenbier is and immediately invites you to the second sip. The yeast contained also carries a nearly complete Vitamin B complex and affects a positive taste and compatibility. Like all our beers are brewed with Gruibinger spring water, Schwäbish malted barley and exclusively the finest Tettnanger hops from the region of Lake Constance.
